I. Wuxi Introduction

Wuxi is located in the south of Jiangsu Province and on the south bank of lower Yangtze River, with a population of 6.57 million. It is a historical and cultural city with a history of more than 3000 years, and numerous scenic spots and cultural relics. It is a developed economic city with a per capita GDP of 174,300 yuan. In 2018, Wuxi was rated as the third best prefecture-level city, one of the 30 most innovative cities, and one of the best tourist destination cities in China.

Wuxi International Airport runs many flights to 33 domestic cities and 7 international and regional cities. There are four high-speed railway stations in Wuxi. It takes 40 minutes to Shanghai, 50 minutes to Nanjing and 5 hours to Beijing by high-speed rail.

II. School Overview

Jiangsu Vocational College of Information Technology was founded in 1953. It is a state-owned public higher education school approved by Jiangsu Provincial Government and recorded by the Ministry of Education. Now there are 14,000 students and more than 800 teachers, 87% of which own mediate and senior titles. Our school has 15 secondary departments and 38 majors along with 2 key construction majors supported by central finance, 2 provincial brand majors, 4 provincial key construction majors and 3 provincial characteristic majors.

We develop deep school-enterprise cooperation with many domestic and international well-known enterprises such as Lenovo, ZTE, China Res Micro, Porsche China, Dongfeng Renault, Swiss GF, Mitsubishi, Fujian Triplex, HLA, etc. We have cultivated a large number of technical talents with innovation and entrepreneurship spirit. They are professional, skilled with high quality, which improves students’ core competitiveness in employment.

III. Qualification for Applicants

Foreign citizens withseniorhigh school or higher degree (or equivalent educationallevel); physically and mentally healthy; willing to abide by Chinese laws and regulations, and Jiangsu Vocational College of Information and Technology (JSIT) regulatory framework

IV. Type of Recruiting Students

1.Chinese Language Courses:These courses are divided into junior class (3/6 months for HSK lv.3) and senior class (1 year for HSK lv.4), opening to students with different Chinese levels. Applicants with qualified grades will be issued academic transcript and completion certificate by JSIT.

2.College Degree Education:Applicants with qualified grades after three years’study will be issued Graduation Certificate of JSIT.

3.Joint cultivation:Students with excellent academic performance will be recommended topartnership universitiesfor undergraduate education.

V. Language Requirement

Applicants who reach "International Chinese Proficiency Standard" lv.4 or pass the HSK lv.4 test organized by JSIT are permitted to participate in College Degree Education courses study.

1.Applicants for college degree educationwho reach "International Chinese Proficiency Standard" lv.4 Chinese can apply forSuxin President Second Class Scholarship (2950-3250 RMB); Applicants whose HSK lv.4 reaches 210 points or above can apply for Suxin President First Class Scholarship (5900-6500 RMB).

2.Work-study programmes on campus are provided for students who need financial aids.

(5) Six recent photographs of passport size with white background in 2 inches

(6) Applicants under 18 shall submit original copy of birth certificate (with authenticated Chinese version), original and scanned copies of authorization to the guardian in China (authenticated and notarized by local Chinese Embassy)

2. Admission Procedure

(1) After the examination and approval of merit-based admission by school, remit the registration fee to the designated account

(2) School will send the admission and JW202 form after receiving the registration fee

(3) Apply for the visa with admission and JW202 form

(4) Come to school to registeraccording to the schedule on admission notice
