Established in 2012, it is a major supported by high-level professional group of higher vocational education in Jiangsu Province. With the rapid development of mobile communication industry, the major has a rapid development momentum. In 2019, it was rated as the brand major in Wuxi City. In 2020, it was approved as a pilot school for vocational skill certificate of "5G station construction and maintenance base" by the Ministry of Education. The program has cooperated with the world-renowned enterprise ZTE Corporation to establish the "ZTE Telecommunication College", where ZTE engineers and teachers have jointly trained outstanding talents in the field of mobile communications.
